The Countdown to Graduation is on!

Last week the Class of 2026 and their families gathered bright and early for one of the most cherished traditions of the school year: the annual Graduate Breakfast.

The morning began with the sounds of music and a slideshow of cherished photos as guests arrived and settled in. Families and friends had the opportunity to mingle and choose their tables together. The energy in the room was filled with excitement as everyone anticipated the year ahead and all the special moments that still await.

Our Head of School, Ms Kennedy officially opened the morning with a warm welcome and words of encouragement for the graduating class. She then introduced our Graduation Committee Chairs, Eunice L. and Zoey M., who served as emcees for the event. Their welcome message included reminders about the heartfelt letter-writing tradition and a special video created by the committee.

The event continued with an opening prayer led by Pastor Davis which invited everyone to pause and reflect before the celebration began. Soon after, guests were invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by our lovely lunch provider Sage Dining. Over coffee, pancakes and fresh fruit, laughter and conversation filled the room as families, students and staff took in the slideshow of memories from the past years.

Eunice and Zoey introduced our keynote speaker HTS alum Alex Karakatsanis ’08. Alex shared personal reflections from his own journey since graduation and provided the Grade 12 students advice as they move toward life beyond HTS. His words left a lot of laughs and a lasting impression on both the graduates and their families.

The morning drew to a close with Eunice and Zoey offering final remarks. They reminded families to complete their letters for the graduates and drop them off at the registration desk before leaving. Afterward, students and parents lingered to chat, finish their letters and share a few more moments together before heading off to start their day.

It was a morning filled with community, connection and inspiration. The Graduate Breakfast reminded us all that while the finish line is near  the journey is far from over. There are still many memories waiting to be made as the Class of 2026 prepares to take their place among the HTS Alumni community.
