The atrium outside the HTS dining hall was transformed into a bustling hub of creativity, engineering, and forward-thinking design. We proudly hosted our 2nd Annual Innovation and Technology Fair, an incredible event entirely dedicated to showcasing the diverse talents and boundary-pushing projects of our student community.

Organized by the HTS Academic & Innovation Prefects, this year's fair brought together an impressive array of technology-focused clubs and programs. Students, faculty, and visitors were treated to a dynamic celebration of student-driven collaboration, featuring hands-on interactive demonstrations and engaging visual displays.

Here is a look at the incredible programs that made this event an unforgettable success!

VEX Robotics: Technical precision was on full display at the VEX booth. The VEX Robotics journey grows alongside our students, starting with the VEX Go Club in Lower School, evolving into VEX IQ in Grade 5 and Middle School, and culminating with the VEX V5 program in Senior School. Visitors didn't just get to look at the impressive machines our students had built; they were handed the controls! Participants had the chance to drive and operate the robots, experiencing first-hand the complex mechanics required to maneuver these impressive builds.

STEM Racing: For those with a need for speed, STEM Racing brought the heat. Their interactive booth featured intense timing gate competitions where visitors could test their button-pressing reaction times. It was a fantastic demonstration of how data, electronics, and human performance intersect.

Drone Club: The airspace above the displays saw plenty of action thanks to the Drones club. Students demonstrated their piloting skills with live flying sessions, showcasing the agility and technical capabilities of modern drone technology, allowing visitors to try out their flying skills as well.

Fashion Forward: Proving that technology and textiles go hand-in-hand, the Fashion Forward team presented their design processes. Students had the opportunity to design and create their own outfits on laser-cut keychains designed by senior school students. They gave visitors an inside look into the design process, from sketches to final products on the runway.

Animation: The Animation booth featured interactive setups where visitors could explore the software and techniques used to bring 2D characters to life, highlighting the painstaking detail and digital artistry required in modern animation.

Innovation Programming: Students set an interactive booth that allowed visitors to engage directly with student-made software. From logic games to practical applications, the Innovation Programming team demonstrated how writing code is the ultimate tool for modern problem-solving.

Exploring Tech: Serving as a fantastic entry point for the curious, the Exploring Tech program showcased interactive games that allowed visitors to tinker, ask questions, and discover new technological passions in a welcoming, hands-on environment.

The 2nd Annual Innovation and Technology Fair was a massive success, standing as a testament to the passion and ingenuity of our student body. A massive thank you goes out to the HTS Academic & Innovation Prefects for their hard work in organizing such a seamless and inspiring event, and to every club member who spent hours preparing their booths.

The future of technology is in incredibly capable hands. We are already counting down the days until next year's fair!
