Student Success Coach

Lisa Kresky has a passion for learning. She can often be seen continuing her education doing courses, and in addition to her degrees, she has over 30 additional teaching qualification courses with specialists in Guidance and Career Education; Teaching English Language Learners; First Nation, Métis and Inuit Peoples: Understanding Traditional Teachings, Histories, Current Issues and Cultures; Librarianship; Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction; Reading; and Special Education. After completing her BEd, she moved to Nunavut where she taught in a Grades 7 to 12 school for 16 years in a variety of roles including classroom teacher, administration, student success coach and guidance counsellor. While there, she also voluntarily ran a gymnastics club three to four days a week and had the opportunity to take her gymnasts to events around Canada and the United States and in the summer of 2019 to perform at the World Gymnaestrada in Austria where there were over 65 countries represented and 18,000 participants. She is now excited to be starting the next chapter of her life by moving back to Ontario and joining the HTS faculty in 2019 as a student success coach.

Lisa also has a diverse array of interests outside of school. She is currently practicing karate at a local dojo. She also tries to travel whenever possible and has had the opportunity to visit every continent but still has many countries left on her list.
