Our very own Formula 4 racer!
Justin D, a Grade 7 HTS student, began his motorsport journey at the age of just 9 when he first got behind the wheel of a go-kart in Uxbridge, Ontario. Over the years, Justin has refined his skills and is now a National champion in go-karting, having demonstrated extraordinary talent and dedication to the sport. Competing internationally, Justin recently achieved an impressive result by finishing in the top 3 in the highly competitive Mini age group category during a prestigious event in Italy, where he raced against 180 of the best young drivers from around the world.
Building on his success, Justin was invited to test F4 cars at the Homestead-Miami Speedway—an incredible opportunity for any aspiring young driver. His impressive lap times and ability to adapt to the high-speed and more technical nature of F4 racing caught the attention of scouts and team managers. As a result, Justin secured a seat on an F4 racing team, making him the youngest driver in the series. This remarkable achievement at such a young age speaks volumes about his skill, discipline, and determination to succeed.
In May, Justin made his highly anticipated F4 debut at the renowned Sebring International Raceway in Florida. Racing against 20 drivers, all aged between 16 and 24, Justin competed fearlessly, placing 6th in his very first race and 5th in his second—an extraordinary result considering he was the youngest driver on the grid. His strong performance in these races positioned him 9th in the overall championship standings, an impressive feat. Even more notably, Justin is the only Canadian driver competing in the championship, proudly representing his country on the international stage.
Congratulations, Justin! Your hard work and passion for the sport are truly inspiring. We can't wait to see what’s next for you!
