Visual Arts Specialist
A member of the HTS Class of 1988, Jennifer Cameron was a founding student when the school opened its doors in 1981. Pursuing her lifelong passion for visual arts, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University and was a graphic designer and creative director before attending Queen's University, where she earned a Bachelor of Education (Artist in Community Education). Jennifer went on to arts education positions with the National Ballet of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario where she led children's art classes, public education programs and school visits. Jennifer returned to HTS in 2009 as a Visual Arts Specialist. In this position, she inspires her students' creativity and introduces them to a diverse range of materials, techniques and artists. She works closely with homeroom teachers and other specialists to integrate visual arts with other areas of the curriculum.
