Laurie earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts from Glendon College where she studied Literature, Philosophy, and French, and her Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University - a program that incorporated teaching with technology and outdoor education.
Laurie joined HTS in September 2022 as the Assistant Head of Senior School, also teaching in the English department. She is also the head coach of the Middle School cross country team and the assistant coach of the Senior School golf team. Prior to joining the HTS community, Laurie worked for ten years as the principal of a small private school in Toronto.
