Integrated Arts Department Head
A member of the HTS Class of 1999, Lisa West graduated on the Dean’s List from Queen’s University with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Sociology. She has a Postgraduate Certificate (with Merit) in Education from the University of Edinburgh and obtained her Special Education Specialist qualification from The University of Toronto in 2017 and her Guidance Specialist qualification from Trent University in 2021. Prior to teaching, she worked for three years with Tennis Canada and with Arts and Communications (A & C) in Toronto where she provided competitive strategic analysis for clients including the Shaw Festival, the National Ballet of Canada, and the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Prior to HTS, Lisa held the positions as Arts Subject Team Leader and Arts Coordinator while at Greenwood College School where she also worked in their Success Centre and established and executed the Drama program from Grades 7 to 12.
She was excited to return "home" to HTS where she is enjoying leading the Integrated Arts department with a focus on collaborating to develop authentic, interdisciplinary, and cross-divisional experiences within the Integrated Arts at HTS.
