Integrated Arts Teacher
Mr Lewis holds a BA in Music from Kent State University (Ohio), where he studied trumpet performance with Michael Chunn, percussion with Ted Rounds, and African music with Dr. Kazadi wa Mukuna. His post-graduate studies include Jazz performance at Humber college and Orchestral studies with Barton Woomert (TSO). As a performer, Mr. Lewis has worked as a show band musician for Princess Cruise Lines, toured the eastern U.S. with the Mirandola Fanfare Trumpets, and had an active freelance career in Boston and Toronto.
Mr Lewis earned his B.Ed from OISE in 2008 and has been a classroom music teacher since 2003, teaching grades 5 to 12 with the Toronto District School Board. He currently lives in Uxbridge, where he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children.
