
Head of School
Ms Kennedy brings an impressive background of over 20 years in independent school leadership, an innovative approach to education, and a warm and engaging style that we know our community will embrace. She holds a Master's of Education in International Education and School Leadership from Charles Sturt University.
Ms Kennedy’s leadership expands across K-12 leadership roles in the Ontario curriculum and IB program. Her experience includes serving as Head of Branksome’s Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools. She has an extensive understanding of teaching and learning and student life programming at all ages, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, building strong, inclusive communities and cultures of excellence.
Ms Kennedy was also the Director of Arts at Appleby College for 11 years and a Drama teacher at The Bishop Strachan School. She holds a Master of International Education in School Leadership from Charles Sturt University, a Bachelor of Education from York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Queen's University.
A strategic and innovative leader, with a strong background in leadership development, strategy, financial planning and fundraising, Ms Kennedy is also a strong community builder and strategic thinker, with a passion for the transformative power of independent school education.
