The 2024 Prefect Christmas Market has come and gone, leaving a trail of festive joy and holiday cheer! This year’s event transformed the HTS campus into a Winter Wonderland, bringing together the community for a delightful celebration of the season. From exciting activities to cozy treats, the event was a perfect way to welcome the Christmas season.
Attendees stepped into the "North Pole" with holiday-themed games that were fun for all. Participants tested their skills in the Snowball Toss Challenge and raced against friends in Let It Snow, a reimagined egg-and-spoon race. Other crowd favourites included Christmas Tic-Tac-Toe and Finish the Lyric: Christmas Song Edition, where everyone showcased their knowledge of holiday tunes.
The elves threw a scavenger hunt that led participants around the market in search of hidden clues. Each riddle brought everyone closer to uncovering the elves' secret, making it a delightful challenge for kids and adults alike. Guests also enjoyed the steaming cups of hot chocolate, providing the special holiday warmth on a cold day. It was a great way to stay cozy while wandering through the event. Santa himself made a special appearance, and families were thrilled to capture magical moments.
The Letters to Santa station was a hub of creativity where visitors penned heartfelt notes and wishes. The Ski Lodge Movie Room was the ideal retreat for anyone needing a break from the excitement. With cozy seating and a lineup of holiday favourites like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, guests relaxed and soaked in the holiday spirit. The Parent Association’s booth added a shopping experience to the festivities with their used uniform sale. Santa’s Workshop was buzzing with activity as families explored the many offerings. From games to crafts, it was a space to create lasting memories together.
Shoppers also enjoyed a variety of unique vendors offering everything from handcrafted jewelry to artisanal baked goods.
