Ashlyn holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University, majoring in communications and French, with a minor in education. She specialized in digital media and cultural theory — which happen to be some of her interests outside of the educational field. Throughout her time at Wilfrid Laurier University, she was a French Instructional Assistant which sparked her interest to pursue her Masters in Teaching at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.
Ashlyn’s research investigates how to cultivate inspirational and motivational learning environments for French language learners throughout Ontario school boards. Her findings continue to be a driving force in all of her endeavours. Ashlyn’s aspirations are rooted by her desire to foster not only enthusiastic learners, but also creative and confident agents of change. With a passion for both the French language and the integrated arts, her role at HTS is the perfect match.
