Ms Mei Wong

BA, BMus (Hons), BEd

Learning Hub Coordinator

As a teenager, Mei Wong taught Conversational English to post-graduate students in China. She received her Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Windsor in her hometown and her Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University; she served as a teaching assistant in both fields – after which she received her Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. Mei found her destiny in 1996 as a math and music teacher at HTS, as well as a TAG coordinator.

Over the years, Mei has taught music to students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 and math in Grades 6 to 10, and she earned her honours specialist in music and additional qualifications in guidance and special education. She has enjoyed conducting various school choirs and bands, performing in a teacher band, and choreographing teacher performances. She is passionate about guiding her math students to see that they can reach a higher standard than they originally thought.

Outside of school, Mei values spending time with family and friends the most.
