Music Teacher
Native Newfoundlander Georgette Marshall earned her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education at Acadia University, where she was actively involved with student committees and choral events. She began her career at a school, which had been one of her student teaching placements, in the Annapolis Valley.
Georgette moved to Ontario, and to a teaching position at HTS, in 2000. Although she teaches Lower School Music, she conducts choirs of all ages, and enjoys working with students from Kindergarten through to Grade 12. An annual highlight is accompanying student performers to the Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival at Roy Thomson Hall, where she has twice been chosen to conduct. Georgette has also served as Musical Director and vocal coach for the HTS productions of West Side Story and Godspell.
Away from school, Georgette is a devoted wife and mother, who enjoys reading, travelling, and cooking.
