Jaclyn Jovanovic completed her undergraduate degree with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in English. She continued her post-education at Queen’s University, where she completed her Bachelor of Education. During her first few years of teaching, Jaclyn completed her additional qualifications in Special Education. More recently she has completed her Orton-Gillingham certificate course geared towards helping struggling readers.
In 2005, Jaclyn started her teaching career at HTS in the Senior School Division. Since then, she has been a homeroom teacher in the Junior and Primary grades. As a teacher at HTS, Jaclyn has been involved in the extensive co-curricular program, including leading the dance, drama, and STEM clubs.
Jaclyn approaches teaching through interdisciplinary, personalized, and multi-sensory activities and lessons. She integrates technology into the curriculum, providing a rich learning experience. Some of Jaclyn‘s interests away from the classroom include painting, reading, and playing tennis. She enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her husband and three children.
