Deputy Head of Student Life and Wellbeing

Jacqueline Butler is the Deputy Head of Student Life and Wellbeing at HTS, where she leads the programs and experiences that help students grow as leaders, build meaningful connections and discover their potential.

Since joining HTS in 2003, Jacqueline has served the school in a variety of roles, including teacher, coach and school leader. This breadth of experience has given her a deep understanding of the student journey and a genuine appreciation for the traditions, relationships and sense of belonging that make the HTS community unique. She believes that education extends far beyond the classroom. Some of the most powerful learning happens through service, leadership, mentorship, teamwork and experiences that challenge students to step outside their comfort zones. Jacqueline is passionate about creating a school culture where every student feels known, valued and inspired to contribute, while developing the character, confidence and the skills to thrive long after graduation.

Jacqueline began her career teaching Biology, Environmental Science and Physical & Health Education before moving into school leadership. Jacqueline is inspired by the energy and potential of young people and feels privileged to help create the experiences that shape not only their school years, but the people they become.
