ABC Club

HTS is very excited to announce that the ABC Club is back by popular demand and bigger than ever! The ABC Club returns in 2025 offering campers an academic enrichment experience in the form of three 2-week sessions. The goal of the ABC Club is to engage all campers in fun and exciting language-based activities and exercises, with an additional focus on the development of reading and writing skills for all types of learners. Research has shown that children who attend a summer literacy enrichment program display reading progress and have an easier transition into the coming academic school year. At ABC, we will provide your child with a positive environment to learn, read, write, and explore their natural curiosities inside and outside of the classroom.

Each day, our program consists of a morning literacy learning period that will nurture and support students individually in reading and writing with both group and independent activities. The afternoon will be composed of different learning opportunities such as exploring the forest, co-operative games, visual arts, songs, music, yoga, cooking and more. Other aspects of the program include weekly themes, outdoor water play and an end of the week progress report.
